Either Amnesty or Proof

A fraud investigation carried out by the department of work and pensions revealed that more than 2 billion pounds worth of tax payers‟ money is being paid to illegal immigrants residing in the UK. To tackle the situation the DWP intend to rather reassuringly carry out further investigations. Tax payers are blatantly being deprived of their contributions to society. The government should engage in a more active approach to tackle the situation. Legal Cerebral urges the government to have amnesty for all those who feel trapped in the system and now want
to make a positive change to their life and find an alternate means of income. DWP should put a hold on all welfare payouts and release payments once the applicant has provided the requisite proof which contemplates their good entitlement to the benefits they claim. Evidently the proposed plans by the DWP will be time consuming and expensive, two things the UK does not have at the moment. Therefore our proposals as harsh as they may seem is the only fair way of guaranteeing immediate results for all. Our proposals also provide a framework that will enable the DWP to filter out the deserving from the non deserving.
